The sole aim of establishing the company is to develop a sustainable inshore fishing and marine  products co-operative enterprise in Kavieng and PNG at the same time expanding the co-operative movement into other agriculture commodity markets,  while also meeting the growing demand of the PNG market and potentially tap into the overseas market as well.  VISION NASEL has a vision for economic sustainability through promoting local indigenous participation in agriculture development in province and the country  as a whole. The company currently manages four (4) coconut plantations in Kavieng, New Ireland Province.  OBJECTIVES Financial Objective  The financial objective of NASEL is to generate as much wealth from its proposed fisheries and agricultural activities. The company aim to be a one all  management company for all agricultural co-operatives in New Ireland by organising co-operatives to register and do business under its name. The  company intends to make money through consultation fees and service charges. The company will increase profits overtime through increase investment  activities in other line of business as well. Economic Objective  The economic objectives of the company is to: increased personal income for local co-operative members, increase market for their products , increase in  spin-off businesses as a result of the fish processing plant in Kavieng and the four(4) plantations, and an overall increase in GDP of this country.  Social Objective  The social objectives would be; creating employment for locals through empowering of co-operative societies, promoting the concept of sustainability as  people will be aware of the importance of preserving marine life and agriculture resources in their area, provide appropriate training to locals and workers  of the fish processing plant as well as the plantations’ factories and at the same time contribute to marketing PNG as being one of the top fisheries  and  agriculture countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
